PIE WORKS OF WAYNE THIEBAUD

Wayne Thiebaud [tē bō] is an American artist famous for his depictions of pies, cakes, pastries, confections, toys, and other objects.  He is often categorized as a pop artist due to his focus on mass culture objects, even though the bulk of his work actually predates the pop art movement.  

Wayne Thiebaud is the subject of the children's book Delicious: The Art and Life of Wayne Thiebaud by Susan Goldman Rubin (a New York Times review of the book can be read here).  Susan Goldman Rubin also authored the adorable Counting with Wayne Thiebaud (a "scrumptious first book of numbers" for pre-schoolers).
